So when you’re working with others on files, it’s often hard to distribute work and see what others are doing. We’ve had real-time co-authoring in Office Online for a while, and we have now worked to extend that capability to let people simultaneously work on the same file on the desktop.
In this short demo, Michelle Keslin from the Microsoft Office engineering team gives you a tour of co-authoring in Office 2016:
- real time co-authoring in Word on the desktop
- co-authoring in other Office 2016 apps – like PowerPoint and OneNote,
- and an explanation of how the services behind the scenes make this work.
